How to take Microgynon 30 ED
To effectively prevent pregnancy, you must be consistent with taking this medication. Always use Microgynon 30 ED as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Read the patient information leaflet and speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Swallow Microgynon 30 ED tablets whole with a glass of water.
Take them at around the same time each day.
Ideally, you should start taking this medication on the first day of your period. This will mean you are protected immediately.
- Take one active pill each day for 21 days.
- After taking 21 active pills, take one inactive pill a day for 7 days. You will probably have a normal bleed during this time.
- Start taking the active pills in the next pack straight after finishing all 28 pills.
